Imagine sitting by a real fire on Christmas Eve with a glass of mulled wine, and a Christmas tree aglow with twinkling fairy lights. While the dog is curled up blissfully on the hearth and the children are drinking bedtime hot chocolate, it is time to relax as you watch the flames and listen to the debate on whether Father Christmas would like beer or milk and if reindeer eat mince pies. If this sounds like heaven to you why not consider spending a holiday cottage Christmas in Gloucestershire.

Events for your Christmas in Gloucestershire
There are many events over the festive season and one of our favourites is at the Brewery in Cheltenham. Father Christmas plus reindeer are visiting The Brewery before flying off to deliver presents. Father Christmas will be collecting letters and lists from children and posing for a photograph with each child and the reindeer. This lovely event takes place on 8th December. The event is free but donations are requested for the Make a Wish Foundation.
Christmas in Gloucestershire would not be complete without some sturdy activity to help work off the mince pies and plum pudding and other seasonal indulgences. On 28th December, a family event in Cheltenham Town Hall takes place when the famous building is host to a Christmas Barn Dance with a caller to teach you how to dosey-do and a live band of musicians. This event is a great way to join in with local festivities and a ticket for only £9.00, is a bargain.
In the Forest of Dean, the Arts and Crafts Centre will be hosting a craft market away from the hustle and bustle of the cities in a beautiful location where in a festive atmosphere of music, lights and decorations, you can browse through the many gifts and presents on offer. A wide variety is available from vintage items and clothing, Christmas gift and food hampers, organic wines and accessories galore. There are even toyshops for the children. You can even buy your real Christmas tree here and take it home to Cooks Green Cottage to take pride of place. We can also arrange this for you. The Christmas market will run each Saturday throughout December up to the 16th.
